For more than 20 years, Christiaan Brown has partnered with Fortune 500 companies to enhance corporate reputation and grow market share amidst crises, litigation, restructuring, leadership transition and competitive threat.
Christiaan’s experience spans multiple industries including healthcare, retail, airline, wireless/telecom, natural resources and a depth of work for both established and early-stage technology brands. He most recently led the global agency relationship with Symantec including corporate, B2B and consumer programs in North America, EMEA and the APJ region. Prior to his work with Symantec, Christiaan led the award-winning Starbucks US corporate and consumer communications team responsible for seminal brand moments including the formation of the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative, evolving the Starbucks Rewards program and winning the Silver Anvil in the technology category for the launch of Mobile Order & Pay.
Christiaan has developed and managed communications programs for technology leaders including Qualcomm, Microsoft, HP, SanDisk, AMD, VeriSign, Yahoo! and eBay. He was responsible for Microsoft’s new device categories including the launch of Microsoft Band and the introduction of Microsoft HoloLens. Prior to Microsoft, he led corporate communications for HP and a multinational relationship with AMD. He has managed crisis communications for Seattle Children’s Hospital, introduced Emirates Airline to the Seattle market, developed Tree Top’s 50th Anniversary campaign, re-launched HP Labs, guided BECU’s CEO transition and earned eBay the National Medal of Technology.
He is founder of a program that empowers Mexican-American and underrepresented youth to pursue higher education; bringing hundreds of Latina/o high school students to the Pullman campus of Washington State University each year with several receiving instant admission and scholarships to be the first in their family to attend a four-year college.
Christiaan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with Honors, and a minor in American Ethnic Studies from Washington State University.
